LONDON (VIP-NEWS) — The United Kingdom-based indie label group Cooking Vinyl is expanding its international operations to France and Germany with new divisions opening in each country.
The expansion will grow Cooking Vinyl and Essential Music & Marketing`s European activities, working closely with the countries` respective distribution partners — Indigo in Germany and [PIAS] in France, as well as Essential`s distribution network.
Zineb Benomar will work as label manager in France and Hilke Dethleff joins as label manager, Germany.
Benomar joins as part of Marianne Faithfull`s management team for the last two years with a career that previously included eight years as product manager at the French indie label Naïve Records.
Dethleff comes after seven years working as a freelance label and product manager with clients that included Universal, Sony Music, Columbia Records and Real World Records. She previously spent 10 years at Sony Music as Senior Product Manager International Marketing.
Cooking Vinyl`s priority releases include Adam Cohen`s latest album We Go Home and upcoming work from The Prodigy and Marilyn Manson.
"Cooking Vinyl has always been a highly respected name in Germany, so it`s fantastic to be working with the team," said Dethleff in a statement. "There are some wonderful releases coming up with Adam Cohen`s album looking particularly positive with strong support from radio and TV, and Carl Barât on the horizon. We`re also seeing some exciting opportunities for Embrace, so it`s very encouraging."
