LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Nick Oliveri, former singer and bassist for the Queens of the Stone Age was arrested in Los Angeles on Tuesday after a four hour standoff with SWAT.
According to the Los Angeles Times, police responded to Oliveri's home after receiving a domestic violence call. SWAT officers surrounded the house after learning that there was allegedly a female hostage held inside.
Investigators told the Times that the couple had allegedly gotten into an argument on Monday, but Oliveri left before police arrived. Oliveri reportedly returned home Tuesday, and the dispute resumed, leading to the second police call which resulted in Oliveri's arrest.
Oliveri was arrested and charged with domestic violence. His girlfriend was released unharmed. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
