NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Western hitmaker Michael Martin Murphey has signed with Skyline Music for exclusive agency representation.
"We’re excited to be working with Michael Martin Murphey; not just because of his rich past, but also because he continues to reinvent himself, releasing a new album every year and pushing musical boundaries," said Bruce Houghton, President of Skyline Music. "His fans love him for it and we’re honored be part of his ongoing journey."
Murphy has been a fixture for years in country music, becoming part of the 'outlaw country' movement in the early 1970s, combining folk, rock and country influences. His hits include pop chart toppers such as "Wildfire," "Carolina In the Pines" as well as charting country songs such as "What’s Forever For," "Long Line of Love" and "I’m Gonna Miss You Girl."
A change of focus in the ‘90s resulted in Murphey becoming the top selling artist of American Cowboy Music before his most recent musical explorations of the similarities between Bluegrass and Cowboy Music. The result was his 2009 Grammy nominated Buckaroo Blue Grass. His newest release, Tall Grass and Cool Water, is the third in the "Buckaroo" series.
His responsible agent with Skyline is Barron Ruth (866-531-2172 x 102 or by email at email@example.com). – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
