NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Fun Home, the stage version of Alison Bechdel's graphic novel memoir of her early childhood took home five Tony Awards, the most of any musical at the 69th Annual Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Simon Stephens also won five Tonys. The play, based on a mystery novel by Mark Haddon won awards including Best Play.
Kelli O'Hara won her first Tony Award after six past nominations for her turn as Anna Leonowens in The King and I, which also won a Tony for the Best Revival of a Musical.
Hosted by Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth, the awards show was broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York.
