Singer/actor Harry Belafonte will receive an honorary degree from Monmouth University in New Jersey at its 68th commencement ceremony on May 22. He will also address the 2002 graduating class.
Belafonte was chosen for this honor because of his
artistic achievements in the world of entertainment and his lifelong dedication to
humanitarian causes.
