Hawaiian Man Pleads Guilty In Fake Concert Scheme

KAPOLEI, Hawaii (CelebrityAccess) — A man claiming to be a concert promoter in Hawaii has pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud charges in an alleged fake concert scheme.

According to Hawaii's KHON News, federal prosecutors alleged that between 2013 and 2015, Turk Cazimero and his purported company “Hawaiian Hurricane Productions” solicited almost $900,000 in funds from 18 investors for concerts that never actually took place.

Officials claim that Cazimero told the investors that the money would be used to underwrite the concerts which included a rodeo and a major music festival, but never actually delivered the promised events.

He’s been ordered to pay back the duped investors and faces up to 20 years in prison when he returns to court for a sentencing hearing in April, 2017. – Staff Writers
