ST. PAUL, MN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The City of St. Paul is teaming up with Live Nation to produce a festival on Harriet Island, planned for June 23 & 24, 2012.
While details, including a lineup for the event are scarce, Live Nation's agreement with St. Paul extends for five years.
Harriet Island is located just across the Mississippi River from downtown Saint Paul and offers extensive outdoor grounds to host a festival event. The Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan region is the country's 15th largest metroplex with a population of approximately 3.6 million residents.
"This marquee music festival will bring millions of dollars into the city," St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman said in a statement. "This event builds upon our successes with Concrete and Grass, Jazz Fest, and years of Live Nation events at the Xcel Energy Center, not to mention the many clubs and smaller venues around town which feature great live music." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
