Music Store Owner, Concert Promoter Accused Of Fraud, Forgery

SHREVEPORT, LA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A music store owner and local concert promoter was arrested this week on fraud and forgery charges, after opening fraudulent bank accounts to finance his business operations and pay personal bills.

Garland Jones Sr., owner of Garland’s Super Sounds in Shreveport, Louisiana, was booked on three counts of bank fraud and one count of forgery, with his bond set at $50,000, according to the Shreveport Times.

Members of the Caddo-Shreveport White-Collar Crimes Task Force obtained a warrant and arrested Jones at his home, where they also seized computers, documents, checks, business statements and disks.

The paper reports that investigations into Jones’ activities have been going on for more than a year.

Jones recently helped bring Ronald Isley to perform at the Municipal Auditorium on March 25. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
