SAN FRANCISCO (Hypebot) – According to a filing with the SEC, RootMusic has received a total of $2.3 million in funding to build out its popular application that helps musicians design more robust Facebook pages.
Funding came from Mohr Davidow Ventures with David Feinleib.
It's BandPage app is now the #1 entertainment and music app on Facebook and the 17th largest overall app.
RootMusic offers both a free and a paid version of its BandPages which overcome most of Facebook's shortcomings as a music site adding tracks, photos, videos, a tour calendar and more to an artist's Facebook presence.
