(CelebrityAccess) — British singer-songwriter and former Police frontman Sting announced he will be on the road early next year for a tour of North America and Europe in support of his latest album 57th & 9th.
The 57th and 9th Tour gets underway on February 1st with a show at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, with 24 shows scheduled for North America before wrapping up on March 14th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
The 14-date European/UK segment kicks off on March 21st (no rest for the wicked) at the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona, Spain, and winds down on April 13th when Sting is due to perform at the Olympia in Paris.
Additional dates in South America and Asia will are forthcoming, according to Live Nation.
For the tour, Sting will be joined by a 3-piece band including his longtime guitarist, Dominic Miller, plus Josh Freese (drums) and Rufus Miller (guitar). Special guests include singer/songwriter Joe Sumner as well as San Antonio-based Tex-Mex band, The Last Bandoleros. – Staff Writers
