LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rolling Stones fans will have to wait a little longer for the expected announcement of their summer tour plans.
Billboards teasing the tour with the band's iconic 'Lips' logo and snippets of the band's lyrics have appeared in a number of markets, but as of yet, no formal announcement has been made.
Videos were also posted on the band's Twitter and Facebook last weekend, showing the band warming up for a gig, and then walking into a stadium, with a hashtag "#SatisfactionThursday.
WKRN-TV in Nashville Wednesday reported that plans for the tour announcement had been postponed, citing "an issue with the nationwide promoter's ticketing" as the reason for the delay.
As previously reported in CelebrityAccess, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood said that the band was planning to tour this summer during an interview with music journalist Gary Graff at radio station WRIF, saying ”Oh yeah, we had a meeting in New York with the boys, and we’re gonna come to North America again in the summer.” – Staff Writers
