NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Streaming has become the leading source of recorded music revenue for Sony Music, according to figures published in the financial results the company published on July 30th.
Overall, revenue from digital for Sony grew by 10% to $461 million in the quarter, even as download revenue slipped by 18.5% to $162 million. Streaming revenue for the quarter was up by 38.4% to $299 million.
