WINDSOR (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Svengali Fest at Windsor's Racecourse has been cancelled at the last minute according to the Berkshire Regional Paper.
The festival, which had been touted to "Take Windsor back to the Summer of Love' was cancelled by part-time promoter Marco Iorio when the security team pulled out.
Additionally, there had been reports that some of the headliners had pulled out as well, not having received their deposits.
The Levellers, Lloyd Cole, Alabama 3, Hayseed Dixie, Syrus, Clay Hill and James Lavelle had all been scheduled to appear at the Festival.
The local community had been against the festival as well, with vocal opposition at a recent licensing panel meeting in Windsor. The 3,500 would-be festival-goers who bought tickets ahead of time are advised to seek a refund at the point of sale. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers.
