ARANSAS PASS, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — VenuWorks has been awarded a one-year contract to manage the Aransas Pass Civic Center in Aransas Pass, Texas. The civic center is under construction with a scheduled completion date of December 2008.
The Aransas Pass Civic Center is a 30,000 square foot facility. It features an exhibition hall/ballroom of more than 16,000 square feet, approximately 2,000 square feet of meeting rooms, and an outdoor event plaza of nearly 12,000 square feet. It is designed to host meetings and trade shows on a local, regional and national scale. The architect is ArchitecTKO of Corpus Christi, Texas.
"I have high hopes that we can help the community of Aransas Pass maximize the benefits from building a civic center," VenuWorks President Steve Peters said.
The Aransas Pass project is being led by led by Carl St. Clair, VenuWorks' vice president of operations and projects.
Aransas Pass interim city manager Mike Sullinger told the Aransas Pass Progress newspaper that he has been pleased with the work done by VenuWorks.
"They came down and did a very thorough evaluation of the area and of other civic centers surrounding us," Sullinger said. "Carl said we'd do very well here."
