(CelebrityAccess) Linda Deckard, founder of trade magazine Venues Today, has reportedly exited her publication, although details are scarce.
Deckard, who sold her company in 2016 to Oak View Group in a prelude the company’s purchase of Pollstar, has had her name removed from the Venues Today’s website, according to Amplify. The magazine, which OVG has been attempting to revamp and relaunch for more than a year, was built by Deckard after a 30-year career as a managing editor of Amusement Business. Her reporting was directed squarely at venue executives and included the wonky details they needed to see, such as a production’s flying weight capacity and its number of trucks.
Her exit follows the exit of much of the original staff and its freelancers.
The magazine has operated from its Southern California office although, with Deckard’s exit, the company may now exist from OVG’s domain in Los Angeles.
