NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Indie rockers The Mountain Goats dropped into The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night to perform “Sicilian Crest” a cut off of the band’s most recent album In League with Dragons.
“Sicilian Crest” is the final song on the band’s most recent album, was produced by Owen Pallett, and engineered by Matt Ross-Spang (Margo Price, John Prine), recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville with John Darnielle joined by drummer Jon Wurster, bassist Peter Hughes, and multi-instrumentalist Matt Douglas.
The Mountain Goats were also joined by host Stephen Colbert for a performance of “This Year” from their 2005 album The Sunset Tree which Colbert says he requested as it’s his favorite hit by the band.
Mountain Goat hit the road this week for the second leg of their current international tour, which includes a number of sold-out U.S. shows. The tour runs until late November when the Mountain Goats perform at Lisboa ao Vivo in Portugal.
