LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – Darrell McLennan Fordyce has been appointed Global Chief Marketing Officer of 23 Capital, a leading capital and solutions provider focused exclusively on the sports, music and entertainment sectors.
In this new role, McLennan Fordyce, who has more than 20 years of experience across the sports and media landscape, will be tasked with building the 23 Capital brand across Europe, North America and beyond. He will work closely with the company’s origination and strategy teams to define 23 as one of the world’s leading cross-border lenders to the sector.
He previously worked closely with Pembroke VCT and their portfolio of businesses, including Boat International Media and Heist Studios, and has also held senior roles across the industry, including Head of Sports and Games Marketing at Orange and Senior Director, Marketing and Communications, at the NBA. On the agency side, he has worked with WPP and Ivory Worldwide, and has advised on bids to host the Ryder Cup, Volvo Ocean Race and America’s Cup.

Since its inception in 2014, 23 Capital has deployed and advised on over $3bn in transactions and last month opened a new office in Barcelona. McLennan Fordyce will be based out of the company’s London office.
