OTTAWA, Ontario (CelebrityAccess) — RBC Bluesfest announced a slate of additions to their popular music festival, including Alan Doyle (of Great Big Sea fame) and his band The Beautiful Gypsies, Soul and R&B icon Patti LaBelle, veteran guitarist Pat Travers, blues rocker Sari Schorr, piano man Red Young, and NYC-based guitarist/composer Yonatan Gat.
Other new acts on the bill—including those added since the initial launch—are as follows: The Zombies, REZZ, Arum Rae, Jack Semple, Tim Hicks, Delicate Steve, The Glorious Sons, Busty & The Bass, Hamish Anderson, and Taylor Knox.
As well, festival organizers have announced the addition of a slew of local artists to this year's festival lineup, including: Pony Girl, Taylor Angus, Anna Ludlow, Townes, Rebecca Noelle, Jessica Pearson & The East Wind, How Far To Mexico, The Riot Police, Blast From The Sun, Blues & Company, The Bushpilots, Future States, Jillian Kerr, Made Wade, The Souljazz Orchestra, Lora Bidner, and Riishi Von Rex.
“As in previous years, we continue to add to our line-up after the initial launch. These additional acts become a bonus for those who already have tickets and, for those who haven’t, this makes it even more compelling to get some,” says the festival’s executive director Mark Monahan. “In recent years, our multiple 3-day ticket packages have become the most popular purchase. New for this year, we’ve introduced 4-day packages for weekend one and weekend two. As always, prices are subject to change, so I suggest folks snap these up sooner than later.” – Staff Writers
