Boston HoB Faces Liquor License Suspension

BOSTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Boston's House of Blues may be facing a one-week suspension of its liquor license after two separate incidents of under-aged drinking left two minors in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.

According to the Boston Globe, Boston Licensing Board voted to give the club a 4-day and a 3-day suspension for the two incidents. The club will be notified of their decision by certified mail, leaving the venue's operators, Live Nation with a five day window to appeal the decision to the state's Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission.

Even if the appeal is unsuccessful, Live Nation could request that they venue and the attached restaurant remain open without alcohol service (Can anyone say all-ages extravaganza at HoB!)

The venue, located on Lansdowne Street in downtown Boston, is one of the newest in the HoB chain and just opened its doors in February. At the time of publication HoB had yet to respond to a request for comment on the matter. — CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
