TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — Intellitix, a company that specializes in RFID based cashless payments, and access control systems for the live events industry, announced that they have named Carlo Chiarello as their new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 24th, 2017.

This combined with his international experience and broad industry knowledge will help to create the next stage of growth for Intellitix," said Serge Grimaux, the outgoing CEO and Founder of Intellitix.
Chiarello will step in for Intellitix founder Serge Grimaux, who is stepping down from the CEO role. Grimaux will remain on the company's board of directors.
Chiarello comes to Intellitix with significant experience in the technology world, most recently serving as teh CEO of the Lazaridis Institute, where oversaw the academic institution's Scale Up program, which fostered Canadian tech startups.
Prior to the Lazaridis Institute, he was the Chief Product Officer/COO at Powermat Technologies Ltd (Israel), where he helped introduce a cloud based Mobile Engagement IOT platform able to monetize via advertising, couponing and pay to charge strategies.
As well, Chiarello worked for 11 years in several executive roles scaling BlackBerry – most recently as the Executive Vice President of the BlackBerry Handset Division. – Staff Writers
