LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Celine Dion recently finished up her Spring/Summer residency at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace. The Canadian songstress posted 54 consecutive sold out performances where she performed in front of 230,000 fans from March through August, leading to the show being called the number one show in North America by Billboard Magazine Boxscore listings and the “biggest act since Elvis” by Newsweek.
The show, directed by Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich, features a 31-piece orchestra and band and includes Celine’s biggest hits mixed with standards from the songbook.
"We did not know how Celine could top her first five-year run in The Colosseum but she has certainly done it," said John Meglen, President and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West. "She is a force of nature and has brought to us an extraordinary show. It’s selling stronger than the first run."
Celine will return to the Colosseum on December 28 for her next run of shows, which will run through January, 22, 2012, including a performance on New Year's Eve. 52 additional performances have been added from February 22 through August 19, 2012. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
