LONDON (AP) — The Cure has been confirmed as one of the headliners for Bestival 2011, staged on the Isle of Wight's Robin Hill Country Park in UK on Sept. 8-11.
The appearance is described as the alt-rock veterans' only European show of 2011. In recent years the band has played Coachella and European festivals such as Benicassim, Rock Werchter and Roskilde, but has rarely performed at British festivals.
Other acts confirmed include Primal Scream (performing "Screamadelica" in full), Brian Wilson, Magnetic Man, Robyn, Crystal Castles, DJ Shadow and Grandmaster Flash.
