Fourth Campified Tour Underway

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The fourth annual “Camplified” 2006 Northeast Tour kicked off July 3 and runs through August 18. Touring summer sleep-away camps, this year's lineup features Sonic Bids winner Green River Ordinance, Faces Without Names, Violet Nine, Cali, 3D, Scarlett’s Web, Natascha Sohl, Kristy Frank, and Jesse Labelle. Campers and staff will also engage in “Meet and Greets,” which allow campers to enjoy all-day interaction with the bands, including competitions, races, team activities, dining, free autograph signings, t-shirts, merchandise and more. A 90-minute concert featuring artists from both major labels as well as some of today’s hottest up and coming artists, caps off the event.

Sponsors include Fender Guitars, Verb Now, Scholastic, FonePony AMSKier and Pop Star Magazine, with musical demonstrations and giveaways.

The tour features a songwriting contest whereby five winners will have an opportunity to record their song with a major label-recording artist. In addition, Pop Star Magazine is in search of a camper who writes the most creative story about their experience at Camplified this summer. The winning camper’s article will appear as a feature in the magazine.

FonePony is providing a video booth and hosting a contest to discover the most talented camper. The winning camper and his family will be provided with an all-expense trip to the MTV 2007 Music Video Awards among other prizes.

Camplified was co-founded by Carl Freed and Aimee Berger. –Bob grosssweiner and Jane Cohen
