Guns N' Roses Cancels Second Date Citing Production Problems

SOUTHAVEN, MS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Guns N' Roses has been forced to cancel a planned Dec. 5th show at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi due to what the venue described as 'production issues.'

This marks the second date on their current tour that has been canceled, after a November 23rd date in Albany, New York was pulled because of staging problems.

While Guns N' Roses has a history of interpersonal drama and erratic attendance at scheduled performances, the band maintains that this isn't the case on the current tour.

"There was no drama or anything like that. There were permit issues with the building and the venue. We have a huge production and it is very heavy. The production, it has to be supported and we have to feel safe about it and it has to be within their restrictions and that didn't work out. They tried to resolve everything. We have had this issue a few times in different venues and it has been resolved and we were just not able to resolve it there." GNR guitarist Richard Fortus said during an interview with CityBeat.

As of yet, there is no word of a rescheduled date and ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
