MELBOURNE, Australia (CelebrityAccess) — Singer Janelle Monáe has been forced to cancel all dates of her forthcoming Golden Electric Tour with Kimbra in Australia due to illness.
According to tour promoter Live Nation, Monáe fell ill after arriving in Australia, leaving her unable to peform at the opening night in at the Forum in Melbourne on May 17th and causing the postponement of the Sydney Opera House show scheduled for Monday night.
Ms Monáe remained in Melbourne under medical supervision, but according to Live Nation, has now been advised that she should not attempt to perform at this time, leaving no alternative other than to cancel all remaining show dates scheduled for Australian and New Zealand.
The nature of the illness was not disclosed.
Ticket holders will be contacted by the relevant ticketing outlet to advise of the process for obtaining a refund. – Staff Writers
