Megadeth Puts Tour On Hiatus

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Metal legends Megadeth have postponed all tour dates for the next month after the band's bassist David Ellefson's brother died following a battle with cancer.

A private family funeral service will be held. The band sends their deepest condolences and prayers to David during this time and ask that the fans please do the same."

Shows affected by the cancellation include festival dates in France, Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The Facebook post says that Megadeth intends to resume their tour on Jne 20th when they play at Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec.

"With much sadness, my brother Eliot Gordon Ellefson went home to see the Lord today after a two year battle with cancer. We love you El, you will be missed so much,” ,” David Ellefson wrote in a post on his Facebook page. – Staff Writers
