MIAMI, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Global Spectrum promoted Phil Laws general manager of the James L. Knight International Center. He formerly was assistant general manager of the facility in downtown Miami.
Laws joined Global Spectrum in 2004 as director of operations at the Knight Center to oversee all theatrical production and convention management for the facility. Prior to joining Global Spectrum, he was a Comcast-Spectacor employee responsible for overseeing operations of the company's three minor league baseball teams' parks. Comcast-Spectacor sold their interest in the three minor league baseball teams in 2006.
In his new role, Laws will be responsible for all day-to-day management of the facility, including booking and scheduling events, marketing and publicizing events, all financial and operational duties.
"We will rely heavily on Phil's ability to invigorate and enhance the customer experience through exciting and high-quality events, performers and services at the Knight Center," said Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
