(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub in Cambridge, MA has joined forces with g8wave, a cutting-edge mobile marketing company, to offer concert goers a better night of live music. Thanks to the growing use of text-messaging capabilities, enhanced by g8wave's proprietary technologies, concert-goers can now use their cell phones to get more involved in the musical experience with no earpiece usage or shouting over music required.
By joining The Middle East's new Rocklist, concert-goers will be able to receive text messages that can be redeemed at the show for a variety of benefits, such as free tickets, food and drink specials, backstage passes and line privileges at sold-out shows.
Rocklist membership carries no obligation and is free for all comers. "We really believe that by establishing a special community for our most loyal concert-goers, we can offer a better show experience than any other club around," said The Middle East's Kevin Hoskins. "After all, our crowd is already incredibly cell phone-focused. Why not use their phones to give them a better concert experience than they can get anywhere else?"
Technology provider g8wave has developed the program to be exceptionally open and easy-to-use. Anyone can join The Middle East Rocklist simply by sending a text message to 22122 with the message "ROCK."
As a kick-off event, the Middle East has a special Rocklist promotion in conjunction with the Rainer Maria, Hail Social, and Certainly, Sir show on September 1. The first 150 people to text "mideast" to 22122 will see the show for free. Prior membership in Rocklist will not be required to participate in this one-time-only promotion.
The Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub, located at 472-480 Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square in Cambridge, MA, consists of three live-music performance rooms, two family-style restaurants with full-service bars and an elegant restaurant ZuZu.
