LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — After a three week run, Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 was knocked out of the top spot this week by the movie Exodus.
The Ridley Scott-helmed biblical adventure cleared more than $24.5 million during its debut week.
Pre-release showings of the third film in The Hobbit Trilogy, Battle of the Five Armies did huge numbers internationally, earning $117.6 million ahead of its U.S. opening this week.
Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Rentrak. Where available, the latest international numbers are also included. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.
