(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In a $2.1 million deal announced last week, the Three Rivers Coliseum and the Three Rivers Ice Arena in Kennewick, Washington, will be renamed the Toyota Center and the Toyota Arena, respectively.
The name changes come after the city struck a 10-year-deal with Toyota of Tri-Cities and Toyota USA. This will be the third name change for the facilities since construction 18 years ago.
The money from the deal will be used to operate, renovate and upgrade the facilities, according to the Tri-City Herald.
The Toyota Center is home to the Tri-City Americans hockey team, the Tri-Cities Fever indoor football team, and it holds concerts, circuses, basketball games, holiday craft shows and religious conventions. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
