LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Sony/ATV has promoted Lou Al-Chamaa and Nick Bral out of its LA office.
Al-Chamaa has moved up to vice president, A&R while Bral is now director, A&R. In their new positions, Al-Chamaa will report to Sony/ATV co-president, US, Rick Krim and Bral to SVPs and co-heads of West Coast A&R Jennifer Knoepfle and Amanda Berman-Hill.
Commenting on the promotions, Krim said: “Lou and Nick live and breathe A&R and each have a deep and diverse knowledge of music. Both of them are totally dedicated to their writers who they work tirelessly and passionately for and they truly deserve these promotions.”
Al-Chamaa’s signings include the Grammy-nominated Daniel Caesar and his production team Jordan Evans and Matthew Burnett, Tank God, who co-wrote and co-produced Post Malone’s “Rockstar,” Ben Abraham, who co-wrote Kesha’s “Praying,” and Lucky Daye, one of the first artists signed to new RCA imprint Keep Cool. Al-Chamaa has also worked with Mike Posner, Selena Gomez, Kelsea Ballerini and Daya.
Bral’s signings include Mike Sabath, who co-wrote and produced Liam Payne & J Balvin’s “Familiar,” and Dan Nigro, whose songs have been recorded by artists including Sky Ferreira and Carly Rae Jepsen, Andrew Maury, and Kameron Alexander.
