WEST PALM BEACH (CelebrityAccess) – Officials in West Palm Beach have started looping children’s songs including “Baby Shark” and “Raining Tacos” in order to discourage homeless people from sleeping on the patio of the city-owned Waterfront Lake Pavilion, according to The Associated Press.
West Palm Beach parks and recreation director Leah Rockwell recently told the Palm Beach Post that the city wants to formalize hours for the facility, which should make trespassing laws easier to enforce, however, for now, the music is a temporary fix.
Illaya Champion told the Post “it’s wrong” to chase people away with music. He says he’ll still sleep there, but “it’s on and on, the same songs.”
