LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – TikTok has solidified a long-term partnership with International Copyright Enterprise (ICE) to continue supporting songwriters and music creators around the world. Announced on Monday (November 18), the agreement grants TikTok ongoing access to ICE’s extensive catalog of over 54 million musical works from more than 330,000 rightsholders.

ICE will facilitate royalty payments to ensure songwriters are compensated for the use of their music on TikTok. Jon Hall, Head of Licensing at ICE, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This agreement ensures the songwriters ICE represent continue to receive royalties from TikTok across a broad territorial footprint while simplifying the royalty processes and addressing in collaboration the unique challenges of the short-form video space.”

TikTok’s Ella Kirby, Head of Music Publishing Licensing & Partnerships, EMEA, added, “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with ICE which will help songwriters and their works to be discovered, re-discovered, promoted, and enjoyed by the global community on TikTok.”

The announcement coincides with TikTok’s first-ever TikTok for Songwriters event, taking place on November 19 in London. The event will bring together industry professionals and songwriters, with TikTok’s Ole Obermann set to lead a panel discussion.

Since its inception, ICE has processed trillions of music streams and distributed over €4.5 billion in royalties. The organization manages copyrights for major collection societies like PRS, STIM, and GEMA, alongside independent publishers such as Peer, Concord, and Songtrust.
