2004 NAMM Show Shatters Attendance And Exhibition Records

(CelebrityAccess News Service) – NAMM, the International Music Products Association, broke registration and exhibitor records for the recently concluded four-day NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA January 18-21. NAMM reported an astonishing 10 percent increase in overall registration for a grand total of 74,236 registrants and broke the all-time record of exhibitors with 1,340 companies exhibiting at this year's show.

At the 2004 gathering, themed "Believe in Music," the record crowds marveled at the latest musical instruments and products, attended valuable business-building seminars and saw many artists and celebrities.

"Starting the year off with a successful NAMM Show does many great things for the industry," said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. "Our members came together, introduced amazing new products and wrote plenty of purchase orders to bring all that new gear back to their hometowns. Equally as important, they shared in the camaraderie that is so unique to those who have a passion for music. It was like a big family reunion!"

"This is my 22nd winter NAMM Show in a row, and the first three days of the show were the busiest I've probably ever experienced in my career," said Jim Catalano, product manager, Ludwig Drum Company. "Business was strong, traffic was strong, and of course Ludwig had a lot of artists here, and we had a lot of new products…so it was very active." —Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
