ARIA Announced Award Noms And HOF Inductees For 2010


SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has announced the nominations for the 2010 ARIA awards as well as the 2010 induction class for their Hall of Fame.

This year John Williamson, Models, Johnny Young, The Loved Ones and the church will all be ushered into the Hall of Fame with the likes of AC/DC, John Farnham and INXS.

Also announced at a Sept. 28th event in Sydney were the nominees for this year's ARIA Awards, which are set to take place at the iconic Sydney Opera House on November 7th.

This year, nominees were selected from across a record 31 categories, representing a diverse array of both new and established artists.

This year will also be the first time that Australian music fans will be given an opportunity to vote in four categories, including Most Popular Australian Single, Most Popular Australian Album, Most Popular International Artist and Most Popular Australian Artist.
