Cheap Trick Concert Scrapped By Dangerous Storm

FORT WORTH (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On Friday the 13th, at the Texas Motor Speedway, thousands of fans had gathered to watch the qualifying races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup, but the eerie keening of tornado warning sirens put the kibosh on that and a planned performance by rock band Cheap Trick.

The freak storm which tore through northern Texas, which came with at least one tornado, was responsible for one fatality and significant property damage in the Forth Worth suburb of Haltom City where a residential neighborhood, a church and an industrial park were likely hit by a tornado.
