Hallett, Blackwell Win Gongs At New Music Week Awards


LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — AEG's Rob Hallett was among the winners when he was named Promoter of the Year at the 50th annual Music Week Awards held on April 8th in London.

The awards, staged by music trade mag Music Week at the posh Grosvenor Park Hotel, have been held annually for more than 30 years and regularly attracts a who's who of the UK music scene.

Some of the other winners at this year's awards were:

Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records, who was named the most influential UK Music Executive of the Past 50 Years; Label Polydor picked up the gong for Record Label of the Year; Jeanette Lee, who nabbed Manager of the Year; O2 Academy Brixton which won Music Venue of the Year and Alison Wenham, took home a Gong for in recognition for 10 Years of AIM. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
