New England Promoter Mad Man Marko Hildonen Dies


ROCKPORT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran concert promoter and entrepreneur Mark Hildonen, known to many as "Mad Man Marko," died unexpectedly in his sleep in New Hampshire on April 3rd.

Hildonen made a reputation for himself as a driver on the national drag racing circuit, starting at the tender age of 15 and becoming an accomplished driver by the age of 19, breaking numerous records and earning a NHRA Wheel Stand exhibition driver's license.

Hildonen went on to manage bands and promote concerts and tours. Among the artists Hildonen produced shows for are numbered Cheap Trick, Twisted Sister, Black Sabbath and Johnny Cash, the Gloucester Daily Times reported.

Hildonen also worked as an entrepreneur, working to develop a national chain of amusement/resort properties called "WaterSnoGo" that featured indoor skiing and an indoor/outdoor water park along with retail and hotel components. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
