Linkin Park's Chester Bennington Dead Of Apparent Suicide


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Chester Bennington, frontman for the metal band Linkin Park was found dead of an apparent suicide. He was 41.

According to NBC News, Bennington's body was discovered at approximately 9 a.m. at a home in Palos Verdes Estates, just outside Los Angeles and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department told NBC News that Bennington appeared to have hanged himself.

Bennington battled addiction through his life and in recent years, he suffered from several health issues, including a tour-ending leg injury in 2015.

While Bennington was best known as a founding member and vocalist for Linkin Park, he also took a brief turn as the frontman for Stone Temple Pilots but parted ways with the group last year.

Linkin Park was due to hit the road for their One More Light world tour later this week.

He was married and is survived by six children.
