Live Nation's Superfest Set To Return This Summer

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Live Nation is teaming up with Haymon events and Budweiser for the return of the Budweiser Superfest, Grammy Award-winning R&B soul singer Jill Scott.

The touring fest will hit the road at the end of July for an amphitheater tour of North America with support from Grammy nominated R&B singer Anthony Hamilton and groove specialists Mint Condition with music provided by DJ Jazzy Jeff and hosted by Doug E. Fresh.

In addition, Budweiser is staging "Opening Act," a talent contest for local bands to be featured in an opening slots on select tourdates. Powered by MySpace music, competitions will take place in the weeks prior to each concert. Competition winners will have chance at being the opening act for the fest, as well as receiving show tickets and cash.
