LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Madonna just wrapped up the North American leg of her 'Sticky & Sweet' tour and by all accounts, the iconic singer is on track for a record breaker.
According to tour promoter, Live Nation's Arthur Fogel, Madonna shifted more than 550,000 tickets, grossing $91.5 million. When the European figures are included, ticket sales exceed $207 million.
And Madonna's not done yet – she's heading south for a jaunt through Mexico and then South America where its expected that she'll add approximately another $80 million, which would give her a shot at breaking the record for the highest grossing tour by a female artist.
The tour will conclude with a three-night stand in San Paulo, Brazil on Dec. 18-21. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
