SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran rocker Neil Young has pulled out of his upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand, including his headlining gig at one of Australia's biggest festivals, Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
Young was to perform a three-hour set at the fest on April 14th, with his backing band Promise of the Real, as well as a series of arena and outdoor dates around the region.
The tour's promoter Frontier did not offer a reason for the cancellation.
"Frontier Touring regret to advise that Neil Young will unfortunately no longer be undertaking a 2017 headline tour of Australia and New Zealand as previously 'teased' on our social media," the company said in an emailed statement obtained by the Sydney Morning Herald. – Staff Writers
