MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) — A second suspect has been charged in connection to the brazen slaying of Florida rapper XXXTentacion authorities said Wednesday.
The Broward County Sheriff’s office on Wednesday said that Michael Boatwright, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder while being held at Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail. Boatwright has been in custody since July 5th on drug-related charges and was served with a warrant on Tuesday in connection with the XXXTentacion shooting.
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot in his vehicle while outside of Riva Motorsports shop in the Miami suburb of Deerfield Beach on June 18th during an apparent robbery attempt.
Dedrick Williams, who is also 22, was previously charged with first-degree murder without premeditation over the killings, as well as a probation violation and with failing to have a valid driver’s license.
Police are also seeking a third ‘person of interest’ in the attack — 22-year-old Robert Allen, who remains at large, according to the BSO. A fourth individual, who was not named, is also being sought in connection with the attack.
