LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper, social media personality and new mother Cardi B announced that she’s dropping out of her upcoming tour with Bruno Mars.
“As of today, I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this Fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing,” she wrote in a post to her social media.
“Not only and I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained its not healthy for her to be on the road. I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby. Thank you, Bruno, for being so supportive and understanding,” she added.
Cardi was scheduled to support Mars as a special guest on his XXIVK Magic World tour for dates that started on September 7th at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
News of Cardi withdrawing from the tour comes follows news earlier on Tuesday that a co-headlining tour with Drake and Migos, which features her husband, rapper Offset had postponed parts of their tour, including the opening dates.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was arrested on drug and gun charges in Georgia on July 20th.
