NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — The Madison Square Garden Company announced that Academy Award-winning producer and creator, Kristina Reed, has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Creative Development and Strategy.

In this newly-created position, Ms. Reed will develop creative content from conception to execution for MSG’s state-of-the-art MSG Sphere venues, which will use immersive technology and multi-sensory displays to facilitate storytelling.

Reed will work closely with internal and external teams to identify, evaluate and oversee creative development prospects; greenlight content to production; and establish and develop a sustainable digital pipeline for content delivery, MSG said.

Along with developing content for the Sphere, Reed will also develop projects for MSGE’s other commercial clients.

The Sphere, which is currently under construction in Las Vegas, is expected to open in 2021, followed by a second Spere in London, which is slated to open in 2022, if it can obtain regulatory approval.

Reed will report to Jennifer Vogt, President, Creative Content and Production, who in June was appointed by MSG to oversee content strategy and development for MSG Sphere and other production assets.

Reed joins MSG from Disney, where she served as Vice President, Production at Disney Television Animation. She also spent almost a decade at Disney Animation Studios in a variety of production and development roles.

Her production credits include two Academy Award-winning short films: Paperman in 2013 and Feast in 2015, and she co-produced a third Academy Award winner, Big Hero 6, in 2015.
