NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Founders Entertainment announced that the 10th edition of The Governors Ball Music and Arts Festival announced a slate of changes for 2020 that includes upgrades to its VIP experience, festival grounds and a revised age policy for the event.

On Monday, Founders Entertainment said that for the 2020 return of the festival, attendees under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 years of age. Each adult must have a valid form of ID and may accompany up to TWO ticket holders aged 17 or younger. A full breakdown of the new age policy and acceptable forms of ID.

Other changes for 2020 include new upgrades for festival infrastructure, including additional water stations to significantly reduce wait time for water refills, and a greater focus on keeping the site tidy, with additional trash and recycling areas, easier to find receptacles, and new environmentally sustainable initiatives.

As well, Founders Entertainment is also upgrading the VIP experience at next year’s festival, with the addition of new VIP-only bathrooms with dedicated attendants as well as air conditioning and flushable toilets. The VIP experience will also include a separate WI-Fi network available at 2 of the 4 VIP viewing areas, as well as a fast entry lane at docks and shuttle pick-up points. VIP passes will also come with free shipping for 2020 and free water at all VIP areas.

Governors Ball is also launching VIP Luxe, a brand new VIP program for the 2020 festival that combines the festival experience with luxury suite experience. The luxury suite will come with all-inclusive beverages, food, an exclusive VIP Luxe email concierge and more.

“Nothing is more important to us than the quality of the festival experience,” explains Founders Entertainment’s Tom Russell and Jordan Wolowitz, “and the changes we are implementing this year come directly from fan feedback and conversation. We are always listening, always evolving, and always trying to give our fans and our City the best festival they could ask for.”

Pricing and additional details to come. The 2020 edition of the festival will take place from June 5th through June 7th at New York City’s Randall’s Island Park.
