LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – IDOL, an independent distributor, has formed a global partnership with Full Time Hobby and its sister label Hassle Records to offer label services worldwide, excluding Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This agreement covers digital distribution, marketing, and audience development for both London-based labels’ frontline and catalog releases.

IDOL’s marketing and audience development team will collaborate with both Full Time Hobby and Hassle Records to expand the international reach of their artists and strengthen online fan communities. The company will also utilize analytical tools to track playlist placements and consumption patterns.

As Full Time Hobby approaches its 21st anniversary in 2025, IDOL will support new releases from artists like Bananagun, Canty, and Tunng, as well as Hassle Records acts such as Brutus, Dead Pioneers, and Jools. The deal signals a new growth phase for the labels’ eclectic rosters.

Roo Currier, UK general manager at IDOL, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We have long been admirers of Full Time Hobby and Hassle Records, with both sharing IDOL’s artist-first ethos and independent values. We look forward to further developing both labels’ eclectic rosters as they embark on an ambitious new phase of growth.”

Nigel Adams, co-founder of Full Time Hobby and Hassle Records, echoed this sentiment, saying, “In an ever-changing music industry landscape, Wez [Westley, co-owner] and I were drawn to work with IDOL as they’re independent, have a focus and attention to detail combined with an ability to compete on a global scale.”

IDOL also recently appointed Rayen Gonzalez as DSP editorial and partnerships manager to support its growing UK client base. The company has been expanding its presence in Europe, signing Berlin-based City Slang in September and adding several US and Japanese labels over the past year.

In addition, IDOL has streamlined its operations by integrating royalty accounting software to automate monthly sales data for its distributed clients.
