WACO, TX (CelebrityAccess) — Venue management and live events company ASM Global announced that Kathy Bart has been appointed as general manager of the Waco Convention Center in Waco, Texas.
“Kathy is a talented leader with extensive experience in convention center management, event services and hospitality. I’m confident that her dedication and passion for our industry will be invaluable assets in bringing Waco Convention Center to a new level as well as positioning Waco as a premier event destination,” said Dan Hoffend, executive vice president, convention centers, ASM Global.
Before joining the team at the Waco Convention Center, Bart served as the executive at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she was responsible for expanding and managing local, regional and national business at the convention center as well as collaborating as well as contributing to the success of events, ranging from public shows to large annual association conventions.
Bart is also is a regional director of sales for ASM Global, is an active member of the Michigan Society of Association Executives and is a current board president of the Convention Sales Professionals International where she has been a longtime member.
