2012 Super Bowl Village Performers Announced


INDIANAPOLIS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – With 2012 right around the corner, Super Bowl XLVI coordinators are teaming up in preparation and have announced the bands that will entertain crowds at the Super Bowl Village.

Mark Miles, chair of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee, joined Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Allison Melangton, president and chief executive officer of the Host Committee, and Rick Fuson, volunteer co-chair of the Super Bowl Village committee to share preparations for Super Bowl XLVI and unveil details about activities in the Super Bowl Village.

Along with updates on community initiatives and programs, they announced that ESPN has chosen Pan American Plaza as its production headquarters for Super Bowl XLVI.

Details about activities and events within the three-block area along Georgia Street that will become the Super Bowl Village were outlined as well. The Super Bowl Village is a free, family-friendly fan gathering spot that will be open January 27, 2012 through February 5, 2012.

The Host Committee announced themes for each day in the Super Bowl Village as well as the bands currently scheduled to appear on the Pepsi and Verizon stages.


While additional bands and the daily schedule will be announced in the coming weeks, the current list of musical entertainment scheduled to appear on the Pepsi and Verizon stages includes:
