Anheuser-Busch Nabs Sponsorship Deal At New Meadowlands Stadium

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Anheuser-Busch has signed on as the second sponsorship partner in the new stadium under construction in New Jersey to serve as the future home of the NFL's New York Giants and the New York Jets.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the deal, worth 8 million a year, will give the beverage company a 25,000 square-foot branded plaza that will include a 6,000 square foot sports bad and a massive HD video display. The sponsorship is one of only 5 packages being offered – one for each of the stadium's corners and one for the stadium's naming rights. The naming rights deal is reportedly still up for grabs.

Also included in the deal will be extensive inclusion in radio network broadcasts for the two teams. Budweiser already has a significant presence with the NFL, being the official beer sponsors of 28 out of 32 NFL teams and are the exclusive alcohol beverage advertiser for the NFL's Superbowl broadcast until 2012, the North Carolina Business Journal reported.

The stadium is currently under construction in East Rutherford, New Jersey. With an estimated cost of $1.7 Billion, the stadium will feature 82,500 seats, including 10,000 club seats and approximately 200 luxury suites. It is currently on track for a 2010 opening date. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
